BIRDWATCHING

Slow down. Look closer.

A private birdwatching experience through Torres del Paine, shaped by the seasons, the habitats and the birds we encounter along the way.

ANOTHER SIDE

OF TORRES DEL PAINE

Sometimes the smallest details reveal the most.

Torres del Paine is more than its mountains and iconic wildlife. Across wetlands, forests, lakes and the open Patagonian steppe, birds are constantly moving through the landscape.

Some are easy to notice. Others ask us to stop, listen and look a little closer.

We take the time to observe their behaviour, explore different habitats and follow what the day brings — whether that means watching a condor circle above the mountains or discovering a small bird moving quietly through the vegetation.

There is always something to notice when you know where to look.

FOR BIRDWATCHERS.

AND THE BIRD-CURIOUS.

You don't need a life list to start looking.

Some guests join us knowing exactly which species they hope to find. Others simply want to understand more about the birds they see along the way.

Both are welcome.

For experienced birdwatchers, we can spend more time searching particular habitats and observing specific species. For those just beginning, the day is an opportunity to slow down, learn what to look for and discover how much is happening in the landscape once you begin to notice it.

Curiosity is enough to begin.

HOW THE DAY UNFOLDS

Different habitats. Different birds.

A day of birdwatching in Torres del Paine is not about following a fixed list of stops. Birds move with the seasons, the weather and the landscape — so we do too.

We may begin in the open steppe, explore the shores of lakes and wetlands, move through patches of forest or stop beneath the mountains to watch the sky.

Some days bring large birds into view from far away. Other days are about listening for a call, noticing movement in the vegetation or waiting quietly for a bird to appear.

We follow the habitats, the conditions and whatever catches our attention along the way.

EXPLORE THE HABITATS

From open steppe to wetlands, forests and lakes, each habitat brings different possibilities.

WATCH & LISTEN

Not every bird announces itself. Sometimes the first clue is a call, a movement or a silhouette in the distance.

FOLLOW WHAT APPEARS

There is no checklist we need to complete. We take the time to observe what the day brings.

THERE IS MORE TO NOTICE.

The more you look, the more the landscape reveals.

Birds are everywhere in Torres del Paine — sometimes obvious, sometimes easy to miss. Once you begin to notice them, the landscape becomes a different place.

You don't need to know every species or arrive with a list. Sometimes curiosity is all it takes to discover another side of Patagonia.

Slow down. Look closer. See what appears.
