October to February: 10 - 12 hours (per day)
March to September: 8 - 10 hours (per day)
The puma is the largest cat in Chile. It inhabits a vast range across the Americas, from Alaska and northern Canada to southern Chile and Argentina.

On this excursion, we aim to observe and photograph this remarkable animal in its natural habitat, without interfering with its daily activities, and always respecting its timing and distance.

ITINERARY
Very early in the morning, before sunrise, we will pick you up at your accommodation or meeting point. The exact pick-up time will depend on the season and where you are staying.

We begin the experience inside Torres del Paine National Park. The search is mainly conducted by vehicle, always along public and authorized routes.

The excursion takes place in the eastern sector of the park and is characterized by its flexibility: we do not follow a fixed itinerary. Our guides decide daily which areas to visit based on animal behavior and weather conditions.
While we travel in search of the puma — our main objective — you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes and observe a wide variety of bird species and other mammals present in the area.

If you book two or more days and would like to explore other sectors of the park, we can combine puma tracking with visits to iconic viewpoints and landscapes of Torres del Paine.
The sightings are mostly facilitated by our specialized staff, but the distances will depend on the mood of the animal, the space and respect that we show during the encounter. Leaving the trails, following and harassing the animals is not an option in the experience we offer.
What's included?
  • Private ground transportation during the excursion
  • Bilingual guide-tracker (spanish/english)
  • Spotting scope for long-distances observations
  • Binoculars (1 per vehicle)
What's not included?

Are sightings guaranteed?
No, they are not. The puma is a wild animal that lives freely in Torres del Paine National Park. Although we are highly experienced and put all our effort into delivering an unforgettable experience, we cannot control its behavior. Therefore, there is always the possibility of not achieving a sighting or the “perfect” photograph. To increase your chances, we recommend booking 2 or more days.
