Who we are?
I was born in 1979 in Collipulli, Araucanía region.
I'm a nature photographer, self-taught, My entry to the world of photography begin portraying moments and places with my I-phone's camera. Little by little, I realized that the different look I put in my captures, surprised and liked, so I decided to professionalize; I took some classes and changed the phone for a reflex camera. In 2000 I came to live in Punta Arenas. Was during my first visit to Torres del Paine National Park, when the beautiful landscapes and an unexpected first meeting with a Puma, aroused my passion and interest for landscapes, wildlife and the desire to return to explore it in depth. Nine years later, I decide it was time to follow that passion and interest and I thoght that the best way to achieve my goal would be through tourism. Now I know I wasn't wrong, It was the best decition. My job as a driver gave me the opportunity to have the greatest privilege you can have in a place like this, TIME; to observe, interpret and photograph. For me, the best school and unlimited paid vacations. As a photographer, I don't pretend to be better or worse than others, just different. I drink bitter mate, I like to teach what I have learned and learn from the experiences of those who want to share. |
I was born in Santiago in 1981. I graduated from Ecotourism, career that I studied with the purpose of knowing and learning more about our country and being able to collaborate with sustainable tourism development and the value of our resources.
In 2008, after some works related with tourism in Santiago and trying my luck as a cruise ship waitress, I finally got a job in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, Torres del Paine National Park. The Park, and the Magellanic, welcomed me with open arms and despite I was very far from my family, they made me feel at home. So much so that, 10 years later I still admire its landscapes and although I don't like mate, every day I feel a little more here. Me encanta la fotografía, pero solo lo hago como un pasatiempo, no entiendo mucho sobre iso, encuadres, ni tiempos de obturación… |
